Talent Show – Date Changes

The Edison high school talent show has been delayed due to the recent weather conditions.  The new date for the talent show is  Thursday, April 17th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Edison high school auditorium.

The first round auditions will be held after spring break on Monday, April 7th after school in the high school band room.  Grades kindergarten through 6 will be from 5-7pm and grades 7-12 will be from 3-5pm.

Ice Cream Pick Up

Don’t forget to pick up your Melon Ice Cream orders this Saturday, March 22nd in front of Jim’s Pizza Box from the Toft’s ice cream truck.  All orders are prepaid.  Pick up time is 9:00 am -  11:00 am on Saturday.

March Music Booster Meeting

The music booster meeting scheduled for March 11 has been cancelled.  Please plan to join us at the next meeting on April 8th at 7:00 pm in the EHS band room.

Band and choir students grades 4 – 12 are each sponsoring a basket with a different theme for the silent auction at the reverse raffle. We have asked students to donate 1-2 items. Please bring those items to school this week.  Thank you for your continued support of the music program.

Edison Music Boosters Annual Election Process Begins

Each February, the President of Edison Music Boosters is responsible for appointing an individual to assemble a slate of candidates for each of the elected positions of the organization.  President Larry Staka has appointed Bob Fujita to assemble the slate of candidates.  The slate of candidates is to be presented at the April Music Boosters meeting.  Nominations may be taken from the floor at the April meeting as well.  Nominations are then closed, and elections take place at the May Membership meeting.  Candidates have the opportunity to address the membership at the May meeting before the election is held.  New officers assume their duties on July 1, and have the opportunity to work with the current officers for several months to ensure a smooth transition.

Edison Music Boosters has four elected offices; President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  Serving in one of these positions is a great way to support the music programs of the Edison Local Schools, and to ensure the tradition of excellence is maintained, and strengthened for our current and future students.

The Edison Music Boosters are hosting their 17th Annual Reverse Raffle, on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Mesenburg’s Plaza Place located at 545 Cleveland Road West in Huron.  We are very excited to be able to offer dinner for two and a night of fun and entertainment all for just $100.00.  Your ticket will enter you into the

Please plan to participate in this year’s Reverse Raffle.  By lending your support, you will help continue the “Tradition of Excellence” in our music program.  A ticket may be purchased by one individual or several people may purchase a single ticket together.  No one under 18 years of age or enrolled as a high school student, may purchase a ticket or attend the Reverse Raffle.  Additional dinners are available at a cost of $25.00 each.  We urge you to purchase your ticket(s) today, before your lucky number is taken.

Reverse Raffle – Help Support Our Music Program

The Seventeenth Annual Edison Music Booster Reverse Raffle will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Mesenburg’s Plaza Place. We invite you to be a part of this exciting event!

There are a variety of ways you can support our music program;

1. Donations:

You can donate items or services that we can auction off in the live or silent auction. No items are too large or too small.

2. Become a Table Sponsor:

With your $100.00 tax deductible donation, your business name will be proudly displayed on all tables, putting your business name in front of up to 600 potential customers within our community.

3. Raffle Tickets:

Each raffle ticket sells for just $100.00 – A maximum of 300 tickets will be sold, each ticket admits two adults for dinner and an evening of fun. The raffle ticket also provides you an excellent chance at winning the grand prize of $10,000.00, or one of the many other prizes given away during the evening.

Reverse Raffle proceeds are used to support music education for all students of the Edison Local School District. The 2013/2014 program consists of a multitude of performances by the Charger Marching band, Concert Band, Stage Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, Show Choir, Elementary and Middle School.
